Notfications not sent for Favourites items

Hello,
Could you please help me troubleshooting the following.
- I have the Favourites feature activated for a category.
- A user click on the button to be notified
- I edit the article (backend/frontend), check the "Notify users favouring this item:" checkbox. Save and exit.
- No emails are sent to the favourites users!

please check that the notifications plugin in Joomla's plugin manager is enabled

-- install this updated FLEXIcontent Notifications Plugin:[attachment=0:1jn52uxb]<!-- ia0 -->flexinotify_fc2.0.3.zip<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1jn52uxb]

-- Edit the plugin in plugin manager and
1. make sure it is enabled
2. enable in it the debug mode
then test my editing various content

Finally, make sure that your Joomla installation is able to send emails:
Goto Users/Mass Mail Users
and send a mass email to the Super Admin user group

Thanks for this plugin.
I installed it and activated the debug mode.
Even, if the "Notify users favouring this item" checkbox is correctly checked, I keep receiving the following message:

FAVOURITES NOTIFICATION PLUGIN: Current editor did not request to notify subscribers
Item saved

And of course no notifications sent.
Emails on my environment are working well as I receive emails from flexicontent component about new content submissions and approval requests.

Ok reason for not sent is that for some reason the posted variable is cleared
