I have a category that has several subcategories. And within these subcategories are even more subcategories:
fruit ....|---Apples .........|----Granny Smith .........|----Golden Delicious ....|---Oranges ....|---Bananas
As from the above example, if someone clicks on the fruit menu item, it should show all items from all subcategories. but it doesnt. it only shows items placed into apples, oranges, bananas, and not if they are under a deeper sub category, i.e. granny smith.
So, how can i show all items within all subcategories?
FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hi Micker - im not sure if i explained it right, but the recommendations you made are for menu subtrees.
I want to have one menu item which goes to the top/root category, then have all items from all sub categories (and their subcategories) listed on the one page for the category view of the top/main/root category.
it does it for their child categories (subcategories), but it wont show items from deeper categories (subcategories of subcategories).
do you use the subcategorie option on your menu settings you can selected to display all subcategorie for a root link

The menu item doesnt have any options to show all subcategories for a root link?
The only options i have for that menu item are:
Please select a category
Item depth (i have set it to level 5 but that hasnt made any difference)
Add item to pathway.
So i take it i must be looking in the wrong place based on your suggestion? (i have chosen menu item > Flexicontent Category)
like Ive said, showing subcategories is fine, but I need it to show the items from all of these subcategories (along with their subcategories), all on this one page.
