I am updating the calendar:

www.iis.kh.edu.tw/news/calendar

To generate the calendar we use advanced module.

We create calendar events items, and to simplify it - I want to divide it up into 3 terms (items):

The problem it creates an item pathway:

However - I don't want that item to be created or shown. Is there away to hide it by category?

I thought advrouter could do it:

but I think that only works at the category level.

Any ideas?

Hello

if you use category view to search for content (instead of search view)

1. Create a new field of type "select" , e.g. call by name "List items in category view"
with values 1:Yes 0:No
- and a default field value of "Yes" (just you will need to load and save all items ...)

2. Give the items that you want to hide in category view a field value of "No"

3. In the configuration of the category or the menu item you can configure the parameter "Locked filter values" to select items that have a value of "1" (aka a value of "Yes")

Thanks - that's an interesting approach - and something new.

I tried this as the field but didn't get any change:

217##1

However, it still generates the item URL right?

I had the same issue here:

Solution
So, I created an empty template - so nothing shows:

www.iis.kh.edu.tw/tw/?option=com_flexico...=122:cal&Itemid=1469

plus adding this forces noindex,nofollow:

$doc->setMetaData('robots','noindex,nofollow');
