In a main menu option, I have added the option to add item in the frontend. Would there be any way to always give me the option to save the item and empty the form to add a new item? The first time it works, but then I have to go to the menu option.

Joomla 3.8.5
Flexicontent: 3.2.1.10

Hello

save and new is by default disabled

you can try enabling it, and see if it works as you need

Go to component configuration (Click configuration in FLEXIContent backend dashboard)

1. Item Form TAB / Item Form (frontend) TAB / General Form behaviour TAB
2. Select to show the button

I had activated it already.

I have done a test again. I do the following:

1st I add an item and click on Add.
2nd Click on Save & New.
3rd I introduce a new item.
4th Click on Save & return. Doing it, I can see the item saved the first time.
5th Click in Save & New. The form is empty and I can enter new information.
6th I repeat the process already described.

I'm seeing that the behavior of the form in the frontend differs a bit from the backend. Neither the frontend, nor in the backend gives the option to do a save & new directly. I suppose that is due to the way of proceeding of Joomla with the items.

Regards.

Hello

so workflow needs improving for "Save and new" case

This workflow existed before the "Save and new" button was added

At some point in the future when workflow is revisited we can look at this more

Hello

Just what I imagined. Let's see if Joomla changes the way of working with the items.

Hello

I think you missunderstood me
-- it does not depend on Joomla new article workflow

This is FLEXIcontent workflow, and done inside our controller code
i meant we can change it if / when we decide to revise the workflow
