Field values as links

Hi

Apologies if I have missed someting but can values (on either contents list or article page) be set as a clickable link filter?

Like if 'category' is clicked on contents list it filters all in that category. Can all fields be set to behave like this?

For example if I have a field 'colour' (with red, blue, green as values) can the values be a clickable link filter?

so instead of a e.g. a select drop down, or a checkbox or radio list
you would want the value to be links , linking to current category view and limit it according to their value ?

Yes that is correct. The filters are great but I would also like the value to be a filter link (eg if it was colour then 'red' 'green' 'blue' etc are filters.

the question is ... besides the value of the field field
what happens with other filters in the filteringform ?


-- if we have auto-submit ON
then
we cloud use URL that has "currently active filters" + a filtering value of the field having links

-- if we have auto-submit OFF
then filtering form behaviour will appear broken
a. the filters changed after page load will not be submited ?
b. clicking on the filtering links , we will load a new page, thus it will appear as some filters do not auto-submit
and some others (the field with links) do auto-submit thing

The question for doing this is to do without introducing "bugs" or behaviour that will look like "bogus"
