Search module linked to menu item

Hello,

I'm using Joomla! 3.6.4 and FLEXIcontent 3.1.1.

I created a search module to put on my homepage. I would like that when I enter text or select a field and press search that it would link to a menu item to show the search results. Just like the universal module does with the Menu item activate - Force menu item. Is there a way to do it already, or is this not possible as of now?

Create a "FLEXIcontent search module"
and not a "Search module"

In a FLEXIcontent search module, it is actually a requirement to select a search menu item
- the menu item is used to get search view configuration

Sorry I didn't put that correctly, I created a FLEXIcontent - Content Lists Filtering, I need to have the option to get a drop down with some fields. I don't see the option in the FLEXIcontent - Search module.

The Filtering module only target category / multi-category view
- we need to modify it to target search view, or duplicate it

Currently the filters search view , can appear only inside the component area,
no option to display them in a module position
