[SOLVED] Item to Tabs was created by Loire
Hi, Flexi :)

How can I do something like this:
The Author creates and publishes Item (Article) as usual. After the publication Item will be divided to tabs: user-entered text will go to first tab, and after first tab there will be some several tabs (for example: comments tab, Author profile tab and the Tags tab). Like this:

| Main | About author | Discus | Tags |

Which way should I go?
Creating complex Types?
Writing module and put it in as field?
Or there is a Tab plugin that can do this magic in Flexi?

Thanks for reading!

Hi, there is a template coming with FlexiContent called items-tabbed which does what you want. Just give it a try.

Hello

thanks Rooney, just it is not only item-tabbed,
-- all built-in templates (except blog template),
have an item layout that has 2 TAB-sets
-- just item-tabbed template can displays items into TABs not fields,

1. edit your content type e.g. article and assign to it any template except for blog template
e.g. assign to it "presentation"

2. edit template parameter (of the above selected "presentation" template) (click to open the slider if not already open) and set the TAB titles (these can be language strings)

3. go to template manager and edit the ITEM LAYOUT of the template "presentation"

4. Drag the fields into the TAB template position

5. view your item in frontend

maybe this should be made a FAQ article, if you search the forum you will find this question being answered before

Regards

I think that FlexiContent definitely needs a demo page that shows at least all the in built templates and some of the most relevant features. What do you think?

Hello Rooney

yes, definitely

- but Emmanuel and other team FLEXIcontent members (Marvelic team) which are now more active to working with the project, said that we should make some CSS and UI improvements before making demos

FLEXIcontent is not enough to have many CORE features, high performance (and we try hard not to have bugs too), it needs some CSS improvements and more frontend template to add more visible value to it

we said to this in v2.3.0 but agreed to make some CSS/UI changes in v2.2.0 too (more templates and fields will be made available in v2.3.0)
