Images and text alignment in category view

Hi all,

in category view i have an 3-column-design based on the FC blog template, with an column width of 210px. I want to resize one image from the content that is shown in the category overview, but all the images in the content have different sizes and different formats.
With images in landscape format all work fine. The size is reduces automaticly to a width of 210 px, and the text is published unter the image.

When the images are in portait format, then the width ist much smaller than 210px, because i have limited the reduced height also to 210px. Then the text will shown near the images. Mostly only a few letters will fit in the remaining space. Therefore i would like to show the images always with the text near the images. It would be also nice, when the image would be aligned centred when its smaller than 210px. When i set the reduce image height much higher than 210px, then it fits also, but the column-height increase to much.

Where i can change that?
