Can't save Configurations

Hi,

I got a strange problem...

When I try to save in Flexi-Configuration this happens.

When I click on "Save" or "Save & Close" I'm redirected to Joomla core global configuration - inside the modal window?? Hm...

And my changes i Flexi-configuration is not saved.

This is a known problem, probably the
max_input_vars limit was reached
the above is the maximum number of variable the form can have



Adding this to your .htacess file should fix the issue:

php_value max_input_vars value 10000


(if you have suconsin installed on your server then you will need 2 more directives in your .htaccess file)

In this case I have adminaccess to the server and did the change in the php.ini file.

Hello I have the same problem with a website hosted by OVH, I've tried to add this line (php_value max_input_vars value 10000) in my htaccess but I have a 500 error

i don't know if this variable is forbidden in your web-hosting or the value is too large

-- you will need about 1500 depending on the number of usergroups that you have

so try setting it to 1500 instead of 10000


this is in our TODO list:
either
- move permissions in a seperated form to reduce number of variables

- check to make every backend TAB a seperate form

thx for your answer, in fact I have moved the website on another host and it works fine now so you were right about the diagnostic.
About the number of usergoup it's a fact that on this project we have a lot of Joomla grups (52)
