sorting items

hi
i am asking if it is possible to
sort items in the frontened
( ascending or descending )
according to value of a field

in other words

i have a field for the (price)
i want the users to be able tosort the items to show the lowest price first

is that possible ?

I am using FLEXIcontent version 2.0.0 RC9b (r1601)

Hi,
Go to Category -> Parameters: Items List Creation -> Set Items ordering.

You can Only set one direction, like ascending or descending.

You can set Default order (your custom FIELD)
- in Global parameters,
- overridden by category configuration
- then optional overridden in menu item

NOTE: you can allow frontend user to change the preconfigured ordering,

but currently you cannot use custom FIELD ordering override in the frontend only primary (creation time, most popular, etc)

i know that i can change it from the configuration of FC
and from the menu settings

but i dont know how to make the user choose it from the fronted

but i have an idea

i can change it from the backend as you said
and then from language files
i will rename the option ( use default order )
to be ( sort By price )
