Comments from Jcomments not showing up

Hi everyone,

I have a Wordpress blog and wanted to change to Joomla so I imported all the content, posts, categories and comments and it worked perfectly. (By the way, if you want the component I can give it to you.)

I have a little problem though, if I pickup the content from com_flexicontent then I don't have the comments made on the post, however if I pickup the content from com_content then the comments made on post appear.

I've installed Flexicontent Beta 5, Joomla 1.5.15 and Jcomments 2.1.

You have 2 links first one take its content from com_content and the second one takes its content from com_flexicontent.

I don't know why it is not showing up comments in com_flexicontent, I suspect if it is because post ID is different.

Does anyone know how I could solve this problem?

Not sure but you can try that :
check your jos_jcomments table. The value of the field "object_group" must be "com_flexicontent". Look for the comments you imported from wordpress and see if the value of their "object_group" field is not set as "com_content". If yes, try a mysql query to set this field to "com_flexicontent" for all the entries.

Thank you very much for your reply. I seems to solve the problems in some occasions. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and why it does not solve the problem everywhere.

I don't know if it is because I imported the content into Flexicontent. Is it possible to use Flexicontent but not import the content into it?
