Hi everyone,

sorry for creating a thread like this, but I'm out of time. Basically, can Flexi Content do this by standard without me having to hack it?

No problem, you'd just have to add the fields and make a template for it. But at them moment there's no submission on the front end. It's on the roadmap, but for now articles need to be populated in Joomla's administrator.

It kind of looks like you'd like to create a category view within an article... You could do it that way, or it would probably make more sense to have test 1, test 2, etc. be items in a category. The title and description would then be the category title and category description. Doing it that way, you could have any number of "tests" as you wanted without having to predetermine, and it would even paginate if there were a lot. Food for thought...

Hi,

thanks for your reply, was sad to hear that there's no submission on the front end, but happy to hear that the developer's are on it!

Basically this template was just supposed to be one article, making it really easy for novice's to create an article.

My main concern was if you're able to create several image field's.

Wait a minute, "no submission on the front end"?, wouldn't that be the first thing to include??

The problem with CMS module builders seems to be that no one gets the opinion of an architect or anyone with any marketing know how. There seem to be an endless number of CMS modules (for each of the big names) that get you 90% of the way there and then miss out something that's completely show stopping yet completely bloody obvious (and you've spent hours only to find that out).

May as well continue now. Am constantly frustrated with Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, etc. trying to find a form module that does database updates* (see below) and allows you to (wait for it), PUT CONTROLS HORIZONTALLY ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER (wow, who would have thought) without endless f*cking around with CSS and PHP.

*Anther sticking point with CMS is the obsession with contact forms that send out e-mails (are there not enough already?). Is not having the form write to the database much more useful? This functionality always seems to be secondary. A site that sends out e-mails synchronously will not be scalable and it's far better to have a batch job process database entries and send e-mails out at that time (preferably delegated to another machine(s)).
