Hello -
I have a side project that i need to whip up quickly. Its pretty simple -- just needs to list articles chronologically, and your site's format is perfect:

www.flexicontent.org/tags/tag/2-component.html
instead of images on left, its the date field.

my site is being built here:
tpf.magiglide.us/index.php?optio ... 1&Itemid=2

as you can see, only the title column is visible. how do i make the date and description (first 100 words or so of the content) visible?

Sorry for the lame questions -- its a fly-by application of Flexi, and im hoping i can make it work easily. Its my first time using it, but im looking forward to it. Thank you!! :geek:

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi Micker-
Thanks for the help...
Still having trouble though :?

I copied the default folder and named it "articles"
Then i added two more fields to the item.xml file:
(i need date (mm-dd-yy), article title, description)
    <fieldgroups>
    <group>date</group>
    <group>top</group>
    <group>description</group>
    <group>bottom</group>
    </fieldgroups>
    <cssitem>
    <file>css/item.css</file>
    </cssitem>

Then i went into item.php to adjust the fields. I found three sections that act as blank?? "subtitle1" "subtitle2" "subtitle3". I replaced the first with "Date" and erased the other two. Still not sure why "description" does not appear in table -- -it seems like it should, as it is written into the code already....

below is my edited file if you want to take a look...

Is there any chance you could paste the item.php file from your flexicontent.org site? Once i replace the image field with the date field, it will be perfect for my site. The example from your post is too different, and I am making too many mistakes.

Sorry... and thanks again.
