In order to show items on the Frontpage, I made a new category called "Frontpage", set it to be the default one and then added items also in the Frontpage category.
The problem is that the links don't include their primary category, but instead have the Frontpage one in their link.. (/index.php/frontpage/item/261-apples) However, when I browse the same item in the menu, the link is shown correctly with its primary category (/index.php/fruits/item/261-apples).

also uses FlexiContent (hence the "item" category in their links), and their frontpage items get the primary category into the items link.
