6 years 4 months ago #25831 by clicservices

mmm, maybe i understood you wrongly but i have just tested this, and it works

Do you speak of the ordering parameter for "Items Manager" in FLEXIcontent Global Options ?

Please note that ordering applies when you first login, if you override it, FLEXIcontent will remember you new ordering till you logout.

If logout and relogin , then the default ordering is reapplied when you first visit the items manager TAB

Merci d'avance.

Oui :
Ordre primaire : Default
Custom Order (overrides primary)
Direction : ascendant
Type de champ: nombre

You mean ordering parameters in category configuration, right?

And you want to order by a custom Field?

- what is the type of your custom field?
- and is field multi value?

NOTE ordering by custom field that are multi-valued OR multiple-property per value, is not possible

Date field is not multi-property so ordering will work properly

But i see in your posted configuration that you have set "field type" to 'number' this is wrong, because date will be converted to a number before ordering.

Make sure you have "field type" to 'text' and not 'number'

I think we need to add some description to this parameter stating that 'number' setting should only be used on FLEXIcontent field of type 'text' that contain numeric values.

Regards
