FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Since i said that,
i change my mind and now i think it is possible using the properties : lft and rgt of a top level category, plus now what to do with permissions heritage of categories

Just to make this change now is problematic since,
1. it needs updating many places
2. will introduce various bugs for sure
3. also using FLEXIcontent top level category from inside com_content might be a problem

You can still use FLEXIcontent for your existing articles just use a content type with no extra fields e.g. "Article",

just you will need to spend a little time customizing their appearance again ... since com_content article view will be replaced with FLEXIcontent item view

maybe test on a copy site, i am sure you will find the upgrade more than worthwhile

Hi
You read french but not writting ;)
I'm trying to write in english

I'm using fresco template from Roktheme (like your Mynxx template) with a special layout dedicated to blog. in addition, I'm using also a lot of Roktheme extension designed for this template
You undestand my problematic
I'm testing also zoo and Fabrik which can keep the main com_centent component as it is in joomla 2.5 and 3.0

take care
