I have been using FLEXicontent now for quite some time now, so I guess that my review is long overdue here. Nonetheless, I wanted to make sure I gave one.

At any rate, product is phenomenal and it truly changes the way that a Joomla! webmaster deals with categories and articles on a daily basis. FLEXIcontent works with several other extentions and the number of options it has these days for both an experienced and novice user makes it a work of art. As other extentions update and change, so does FLEXIcontent to maintain its working order. In fact, it has so many positive point about it, I will never get to all of them in this post.

However, you must know that the excellence does not stop here. The FLEXIcontent team meets and exceeds expecations by solving countless customization issues within the forum area. For example, I had an issue a few weeks ago and ggppdk (Lead Developer) went into my website for me and found the problem. He immediately coded a fix and implemented the fix within the next release. In fact, it appears that he does this for people on a regular basis. He is definitely a busy man! The rest of the team also takes the time necessary to help people with customized solutions. I could not ask for more.

In a nutshell, if you are looking for a Class-A extention and category/article management system, and more, with a dedicated development team behind it, then FLEXIcontent is the one for you. Try it and you will see.

I use FLEXIcontent in professional site with more than three thousand articles and it's a very reliable component for multicategories ordering and filtering. Over time, FLEXIcontent is getting better and offer many options to obtain what you need. Even FLEXIcontent is able to deal with document version and approval workflow.

FLEXIcontent has started something that should have been in the core a long time ago. The integration of various plugins. They have taken a stance to get as many extensions to work with their CCK and the advantage - you don't invent another K2 or Zoo and then a family of extensions that only work with those ccks.

Drupal scores over Joomla in this issue which has a native CCK. The closest thing to a core CCK, (i.e. compatibility with all other extensions, ability to create forms, add fields, change the article structure and have own templates) on JED are SEBLOD & FLEXIcontent. FLEXIcontent is beautifully designed and simple, unlike SEBLOD you understand the system almost intuitively. I pity the people who run the support forum for they have to take up issues related to every other plugin in the JED. The templating system requires a special mention. I applaud the effort put in by the team to design such a cool CCK.

Great flexibility with the Joomla content system, and many features available.
I recommend this component for all those who want to expend the Joomla content system with many item forms parameters and much more.

I'm working with FLEXIcontent since the beginning of this product.

I couldn't manage a site without it. It's very adaptable for all my purposes.

And it's not the least thing the support is perfect, rapid and very friendly.

I'm working with the Release candidate Joomla 2.5 since the beginning of J2.54. I never encountered problem and it was only a release candidate.

If you develop websites, many of your clients struggle to:

+ resizing images
+ float images left/right
+ add subtitles correctly
+ add galleries easily

Sometimes a stray can destroy your design.

FLEXIcontent solves this problem as clients can finally enter content for themselves - as you can create fields for them to do this.

It is super powerful, and does have a high learning curve. So - you will need to be an experienced developer - however once you know it - it allows you to code the way you want and enables clients to make complex pages.

Support for FLEXIcontent is amazing, and the developer will listen to your requests, and try to solve issues you have.

What can I say about, to really contribute to make this extension the big one that really is?
I use it since it's beginning, silently following it's development, using it with success and satisfation; but wrongly not giving my direct contribution
Now it's time to do it :)
You are problably asking for "Why now?".
The reason is simple but not surprising for who is following this extension from the beginning.
This time I had a further occasion to get invaluable help coming from the development team, related to a specific small & hidden bug causing my website losing Google ranking. Within a couple of days they have identified and solved it, making me happy :)
I never found a better extensions around the JED, and this time I must admit then I also _NEVER_ found a better & so responsive team: this could be "normal" for a pay-for component, but you should keep in mind that they are still working FOR FREE giving us a great component. What more should you expect?
I would give them more than 5 stars, but all I can do right now is to tell you "enjoy that team, is unique rather than rare."

First, I should say that FLEXIcontent is actually running very well on Joomla 2.5. The devs are just waiting for the final release to change that info.

FLEXIcontent (FC) is one of the best, if not the best, CCK for Joomla! out there.
I've tested other CCK which can have a pretty interface but limits you in the free version; or others that can be so powerful that it's overwhelming to work with as there is too much to do.
And with many of these CCK, it's a pain to move your data out of them.

FC has multi language support with out the need of any 3rd party. You can map items (articles ...) to their translated version.
You can build almost any type of website with it. You have a vast array of field type.
You can manage the fields showing in the submit content form on the front end.
Tight and extended Joomla! ACL integration. You can even apply Joomla! ACL per field.
You can trigger SQL queries in field.
Drag & drop ordering.
The template system is uber simple and offer total control.

Maybe not every developer or company are great at advertising themselves. But there is one sure thing about FLEXIcontent: it's a solid CCK.

And I forgot one important note: It's FREE!

ps: I'm not even part the of the FC team, but I simply love it. We use it a lot to develop our client's website.

Before, I was making websites without CCK... Now I need to make sites with a lot of different types contents and categories, and to display (order / filter / appearance / listing...) them in a lot of different ways. My need was a powerful advanced search and versatile modules to filter and sort almost everything.
This is not a "simple as a click" CCK, but I'm really sure it's the most powerful one.
The support forum is quick and efficient, I can tell you, because I have several specific needs, and all request where solved (For developers, you can make almost everything you need in the great templates tool).

I have been using FLEXIcontent for several years to create commercial projects. This extension is easily customizable and has a variety of options for experienced users.
The most beautiful part of FLEXIcontent is the templating mechanism which allows to render each Joomla article uniquely.
Object-oriented grounding provides bunch of ways for integrating FLEXIcontent algorithms into third-party components. In addition, it is easily extensible with plugin mechanics.
