Module assignments are not recognized when linking to items from a category landing page. All modules assigned to every position are being displayed, ignoring any display conditions. The SEF URLS are not recognized by 4SEF, not found in _content table, how can I resolve?

hello your ul is completly buggy
1 check menu item type
2 check your assignation
flexicontent works in many many site without this problem
you need to check your configuration

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Yes, why I opened the ticket
Links from menu work fine.
Links for items on a category page are buggy.
It didn't have this problem for me until after upgrading to Joomla 4
Which configuration? .htaccess, Joomla, Flexicontent?

Thanks, and please let me know about the Pro version. I've used your extension for many years now and would love to be able to support the project by getting a Pro version.

So there was an issue with Regular Labs Advanced Module Manager that Peter looks to have resolved.

My issue now is in my menu I am linking to a tagged Category page. It was and should be displaying all items within that category that have that particular tag assigned. This has been working perfectly for years up until upgrading to Joomla 4.

Now when clicking on one of the listed items displayed on the Category landing page, I get the home page instead of the desired landing page. I've tried this with both the SEF and NON-SEF URLS.

For example:
SEF: group.cruiseandvacationdesk.com/componen...ruises/save-up-to-10
Non-SEF:https://group.cruiseandvacationdesk.com/index.php?option=com_flexicontent&cid=24&id=1285&view=item

I am using 4SEF which now sees the non-sef URLs and is generating the SEF urls.

In the global Configuration for Joomla I have both Search Engine Friendly URLs enabled as well as Use URL Rewriting enabled. Files renamed to .htaccess and web.config. NginX configured per Joomla's specifications.

In FlexiContent config I have:

Remove IDs from URLs enagled
shorter SEF URls = skip /category/ in category URLs
Default Menu Item = Content
Default Menu item in URLs = No
Use menu items = with language 'ALL' or with current UI language
Remove default menu item = Yes
Create pathway automatically = Yes
Rel Canonical tag = no
Max Filters to indes = 0

you have problem with your SEF configuration
group.cruiseandvacationdesk.com/index.ph...24&id=1285&view=item doesn't use any itemid, with joomla and new router you need it
create menu link to your content to avoid flexicontent tems in your sef url
