[SOLVED]entry not showing if title begins with A and a space

I'm creating a directory of TV shows and one of them is entitled "A Very Kooky Countdown". the item is correctly assigned and published, yet it doesn't appear unless I change its title to something that doesn't begin with "A ", like "Very Kooky Countdown, A" or "AVery Kooky Countdown". thanks in advance for any feedback.
