FLEXIAccess - Frontend Permission EDIT != SUBMIT

hi there!

i'm encountering the following strange behaviour of FLEXIAccess (FA)
(Either it is strange or i misunderstand a concept here):

[problem]
my user (let's call him "company-branch-manager") is not able to
EDIT his own articles
unless i grant him the right to
SUBMIT a new article (AND to EDIT his own articles)
via Frontend permissions > Articles > let's say "company branch articles"

[effect]
in the backend > flexicontent > items > when user klicks on an item title to edit (or ticks checkbox and presses the edit-button), he gets the error:
"You are not authorized to execute this task. Please contact an administrator."

[status quo]
i don't want him to be able to submit, only to edit a prepared, fixed set of articles, whose creator/owner is set to his user id in the database.
this might sound like an awkward way to do it, but i ca'nt figure out a smarter way without docs.

thanks in advance for any advice!
kath :)

Why don't you use the frontend to let the user edit his own articles?

Make sure you set permissions for edit own article and publish own article (submit new item not needed) for it to work in the frontend.

I've tried your approach and you are right - it does not work in backend.
