Hide menu items Yootheme

Hi All,

I would like to hide menu items to certain people and I found this:
www.flexicontent.org/documentati ... items.html

But I have a yootheme and the default.php is stripped down.
Does anybody know how to accomplish the same with the yootheme?

I have the phoenix theme.
FLEXIaccess version 1.0.5
FLEXIcontent version 1.5.3 stable

Now when I hide it for a group it is hidden for all, so it kinda works.

Thanks in advance,
Aaron

Hi,
The problem is I don't have any Yootheme template and I guess they use their own menu system.
If the files are GPL you can attach them and I will see what I can do.
ONLY if it's CLEARLY stated GPL

Emmanuel.

Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for you quick reply.
I asked if it was GPL in the yootheme forum and this was the answer:

The menu structure of YOO templates is "hardcoded" into the template and cannot be separated, in any event it is copyright protected and not GPL (General Public License).
Greetings,
Bob

So sadly it isn't and it is also not easy to edit.

Is there a way to prevent people from posting new topics in categories they have no right to post? I don't mind if they see the menu item but I don't want them to be able to post there.

greetings,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,
That means you have two solution.
1°- Leave it as it is (anyway the users can only display categories they have permissions to post in)
2°- Give me a super-admin access to your server with extplorer installed on it. I guess it could be solved in 30min (the time to find the right file to modify and how) but the bad news is it will cost you 50€ (in case of success only).
Cheers,
Emmanuel.

Hi Emmanuel,

Here I am again :D

The guy from Yootheme updated hes message and this is what he said:

The menu structure of YOO templates is "hardcoded" into the template and cannot be separated.
The PHP elements are covered by the GPL.
Please communicate the YOOtheme license terms before submitting any files to third parties
Greetings,
Bob

So this means I can send you some files

I wrote the above lines yesterday before your message but did not get the time to send it.

I tried the first solution (did so also before) but that does not work. The people without rights to some categories stil can ad content to that category.
I looked at it and i see an error in the backend:

Warning: array_unique() [function.array-unique]: The argument should be an array in /home/p1106/domains/cmo-flevoland.nl/public_html/intranet/plugins/system/flexiaccess/flexiaccessclass.php on line 310

I get that when I am in a category or when I am in FLEXIaccess assigning frontend permissions (see attachment)

Do you know what is causing this error and if it is related to the fact that people are still able to post where they should not?

Thanks for your help!

greetings,
Aaron

PS. if you still need the files from the yootheme, let me know.

Hi Aaron,
The screen you showed me is a bit strange and I suspect a bad
Can you please try this procedure (don't worry you won't loose anything).
www.flexicontent.org/forum/index.php?f=5...rb_v=viewtopic#p8142
Concerning your files it's a good news. Try to post them on PM (if it's too large I'll give you an email address)
Cheers,
Emmanuel.
