Set Default Rating for Vote Field

Hi guys,

How can I set a default rating for the votes field? Currently when I create a new item the rating is always '0' as in no starts out of 5. I want them to have a default value of 3 stars.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Thanks micker but I don't know where to set a default value for the vote in the field configuration options. Where and how can I set a default value so that all items start with a default 3 star rating?

thanks again micker but what I mean is that I want to keep it 5 stars but I want them to have a default 3 star vote instead of it being blank by default

Currently with no votes it is = X X X X X

I want it to have default 3 star vote so = X X X X X

I have a lot of items and can't manually put a vote for each item and I don't want them to be blank with no votes because this looks bad for site visitors.

we will enhance voting field with reviews (60% done already and it should be done "soon")

and we do want to improve voting field

so you mean that instead of show"5 empty stars" to add a parameter

Parameter: Unrated items # Stars
Description:
The selected number of stars will be shown, if item has not been rated yet,
- also ordering / selectiong items via voting in category / modules, will also replace "NULL voting aka zero", with the default voting stars number
