.
Please restrict posting in the Announcements forum to Admins and Moderators.

Many users subscribe to the Announcements forum to receive official notifications such as announcements about new versions.
Allowing any user to post to that forum enables any user to blast their own "announcement" to all subscribers looking for real news.

The Joomla forum uses the common strategy:
- create an official announcement thread (locked)
- create a separate discussion thread (not-locked)

Note: I have locked all existing threads in the Announcements forum to prevent further user posts.

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
