Impossible de charger une image dans un champ image

Bonjour,
je reviens avec un problème que je n'ai pas réglé depuis 2 ans.
Je viens de faire une MAJ en 1.5.5 et je ne peux plus intégrer d'image dans les articles. J'obtiens systématiquement l'erreur suivante :

J'ai soumis ce problème il y a 2 ans après avoir parcouru les différents forums qui évoquent ce problème : sans résultat. Je ne me suis pas étendu vu que j'arrivais à faire de l'intégration d'images depuis 1 poste (et pas des autres).
Mais depuis la MAJ, aucun des postes utilisés ne permet de faire l'intégration d'image.
Il faut absolument que je débrouille ce problème.
SI quelqu'un peut me donner un début d'explication et de solution, je suis preneur.

J'ai vérifié le chmod du dossier phpthumb et je l'ai modifié en 0777.
Rien n'a changé.

Et pour répondre à ggppdk, le problème existe en backend lorsque je veux charger une image dans un champ image en édition d'un contenu.

It seems the imagemagick version in your server has been updated, and the new version changes the characters/format used when reporting version, so phpthumb way of recognizing does not work any more:

in compontents/com_flexicontent/libraries/phpthumb/phpthumb.class.php

replace:
