I have tried repeatedly to install Flexi on my server with no luck. I finally realized that my joomla install manager was trying to tell me that this file doesn't exist.

public_html/tmp/com_flexicontent_v2/site/medias/.htaccess

Can anyone help!

Hello

can you copy the full and exact error message, here ?

Thank you for getting back to me. The message I receive from the joomla back end is:

Warning
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/bridgeho/public_html/tmp/com_flexicontent_v2/site/medias/.htaccess

And when I looked, it was true that there is no ".htaccess" file in the medias folder. I looked for it in other places but could not find it anywhere.

I appreciate your help!

Hello

but FLEXIcontent does not reference this file in its installation script :
medias/.htaccess

- first, please test on different installation, without any 3rd-party plugins installed
does it install properly ?

which is your Joomla version ?

I am running a new installation of joomla 3.2.1

I just disabled the plugins I have installed. I think tried to install FLEXIcontent but was again unsuccessful. I received the same message as before.

The plugins I have installed are JCE, JEvents and K2. I installed K2 in order to explore it while trying to figure out how to install FLEXIcontent. Even with those having been disabled I was unable to install flex.

And by the way, my attempts to install FLEXIcontent all took place before installing K2

Hello

please
-- put site on an online server and then send me an email with super admin access

please note that i will uninstall FC (which delete FLEXIContent DB table, but this is not a problem in your case since the FLEXIContent installation is new right ?)
