Content Lists Filtering Leads to Wrong Page

in Target Category > Menu item select your category view

I currently have the category menu item selected, but the module is leading to the content_page rather than the selected menu item.

Is there another setting somewhere that I'm missing?

here some things i have encountered in the past

Please make sure that
- menu item points to the category,
- and that menu item is of public access (or accessible by current user) and of current language or language all
- if you have multiple filtering modules make sure the desired module is shown

Aha - the issues was that the menu items were set specifically to EN and FR.
