There is an auto-created .htaccess by flexicontent,
that is meant mostly to protect original images from download
so this is blocking the image link
why it is created in this folder ?
either it is a bug or it is misconfiguration
if bug we must fix, if misconfiguration maybe we need so warning somewhere
i ll post again tomorrow morning

in fact, all images from this field (photo film) are not displaid when enabling default image
if I active it : images/stories/flexicontent/film.png it create an htaccess at each refresh and it goes wrong

the above is good feedback i am going to test this locally
it seems that when you enable default image the folder of default image is treat as "a folder of original images"
that we must protect ...
so this is a bug !
will make a fix this evening, and also apply modification in your website, have a nice evening
