Hi,

FLEXIcontent 3.2.15

1. If I got to Flexicontent > Fields - after clicking order it always remains on - there seems no way to turn it off
2. Click "reset" button - but the save order keeps button appearing - it works for "items"
3. Save button always appears

Hello

when you click "reset" button the listing goes back to the default sorting

in items manager default sorting is not the ordering column (and default sorting is configurable)
in fields manager default sorting is the ordering column (and default sorting is not configurable)

any suggestions ?

Thanks - I remember now.

I think I preferred the old version:

as the save was more hidden.

Hello

it is for avoiding reports of ordering not working by new users

Maybe a configuration option at component for setting default order ?
like we have for items manager ?

I understand where you're coming from. I know its a difficult balance as there are 2 or 3+ sets of people that use FLEXIContent:

a) Developers - people who build the sites and fields/etc - and they either new to FC or not. Who have many questions.
b) Clients - who just want to add the content

As, I build websites for clients.

They want things simple - and giving them a button to click that will then ruin the item manager I spend time putting in the correct order would kill me.

Randy Carey talks about the client template which is what I'm trying to build:
magazine.joomla.org/issues/issue-nov-201...-the-client-template

His presentations are good:
icueproject.com/presentations

Actually - I should just hide the fields view from the clients.

Hello

i see in your first message you suggest to turn it off (via cookie)
so that clicking close would movie minify it into the column header

i think lifetime per session will be ok ? or it should be longer
