Why do you replace this icon par a simple "publish" "unpublish" or other in full letters ?

Hello

you can really solve the issue with our intervention
because now work is on other priorities

a quick and simple solution that does not involve any need for hacking would be

- that you add some CSS
to force a font awesone icon on each of the icons that currently is not showing

the work for doing the above is not much, but still it is will take a couple an hour to implement and an hour to test
but there is several such little cases ... that can not be high in priority

bug-fixing ,
paid work
joomla compatibility
new features for 3.3.0

are of higher priority

also another reason for not doing this issue now
- is that we need a more complete fix

A fix that will make us indepedent of frontend Joomla template !
- meaning a fix that will include a small custom pack of font-awesone font-icons that will be include together with FLEXIcontent
the above is what has been discussed with Emmanuel and with Yannick (micker)

Hello

there is a solution that you can use exactly now

Just disable the "Show icons" option in state field configuration

and the field will display the statte using TEXT

Also i see that fields supports to use images
- only the parameter is missing from the XML file !!

Just adding the parameter in the XML file will give you option to use images
- i will add it now and give you link to update XML file
