FY!, having updated to the latest stable JCE 277 this day the problem in this thread is back.

It is reproducable like this:
We have a TYPE named Event. It has two custom fields ot type "date". (start_date and end_date)
  1. Create a new article
  2. The new article appears and the editor seems to be working
  3. Type a subject, select a category
  4. Select the "Event" type
  5. Click the APPLY button

The article saves and then re-opens in a blank screen.

NB: The blank screen only occurs when the TYPE is using custom date fields.

NB2: On further testing the issue seems limited to JCE Pro, latest stable.

FYI, I rebuilt the site from scratch on a LAN server, and then linke the joomla install to the original site's database.

I get the same issue; usiing JCE Pro 2.7.10 editing any flexicontent with a custom date field cause a blank screen.

TinyMCE works OK.

I'll cross post this on the JCE site.

unfortunately people some times seem not to be reading PMs
we used to have a popup or inline notification of new PMs but it was lost after an update

Just an update:

I have now attempted to do three new clean installations on clean Joomla installs, two on my local Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server, one on our linux VPS. - I was able to consistently repeat the following experience

On a clean Joomla install I add the latest stable JCE Pro package and set JCE as the default editor.

At this point JCE comes up fine as the content editor

Now I install Flexicontent (3.3.1.5)

Creating a new article results in a white screen (no editor)

I don't have the knowledge, experience & time to pursue this, so will leave it there.

Thanks for your input and patience
